When I bought my first house, I got a great bargain on it, but used up almost all my available cash for my down payment.

I was dying to decorate my new house, but I had hardly any money left over. I knew I had to get creative, and I wound up teaching myself quite a lot about how to create inexpensive wall artwork.

One great idea for wall décor is to reach out to the amateur photographers in your family, and blow up some of their landscape shots.

I have several beautiful sky shots hanging in my hallway. I get compliments on them all the time, and it’s always such a pleasure to be able to tell people my dad took the photos!

If you don’t know anyone who’s talented with a camera, call local art schools or colleges and see when they are hosting student display nights.
