I Have A Beige, Cream And Black Floral Sofa

Black and Beige Sofa

Black and Beige Sofa

I have a black, cream and beige floral sofa.

What colours can I use on my walls to make it look warmer? They are all cream and it tends to look cold.

Andrea's Response

Given that your sofa is a floral pattern and that you already have a neutral color palette of black, cream and beige, I think we are looking for one plain, solid, bold colour.

That said, when it comes to choosing that colour, you are spoilt for choice.
black and beige sofa, orange accentI am leaning towards orange (and not just because I have used a leopard skin fabric in the picture above and am thinking all things jungle!) but because even just a small amount of orange would add the warmth that your room currently lacks so you can achieve the look you want with little in the way of time, effort or money.

An orange feature wall, with the other three walls remaining cream would be stunning. Throw a couple of plain orange cushions on the sofa and you're done - instant warmth.

If orange doesn't appeal, bright yellow would do a similar job without being quite so 'in your face' and a bright blue or turquoise would give a completely different but no less atrtractive look.
