Gray Carpet, Sage Furniture, White Walls

I purchased a home with gray carpet. I need to keep this carpet for a few years.

My furniture is sage green and mauve.

The walls are white. I am debating on painting a gray-toned mauve or a muted yellow to try to warm up things - I have lots of windows.

Hi Kay and thank you for writing in.

I would definitely go with the gray/mauve if I were you rather than introducing another color.

You may also like to add some throw pillows in shades of green and mauve - either plain or patterned and I would suggest that any metallic finish items in the room should be silver/chrome rather than yellow gold.
