If you are a parent yourself, you can use your own experience of family friendly vacations to help you equip your vacation property well for this demanding and lucrative market.
If you don't have your own experiences to draw upon, then hopefully some of the information here will help you on your way. Parents traveling with a toddler or baby are less interested in entertainment for their offspring and more interested in safety - particularly when renting a pool home. Certainly in Florida the local authorities take pool safety very seriously and there are many regulations in place which the vacation property owner needs to abide by in order to be allowed to rent to vacationers. In some parts of Europe the system is less regulated and it is left to the property owner to make the decisions themselves regarding pool safety and indeed all safety aspects of the property. I know many pool home owners in Florida are irritated by pool fencing and patio door alarms but if it saves just one youngster from drowning...
Vacations with teenagers are a whole different ball game. Of course some of them will still enjoy spending time with their family on vacation but it seems the older they get, the more important their friends become and the more they can't bear to be out of touch with back home.
