What Bedroom Color Schemes Would You Suggest?

I could really do with some ideas for colors for my bedroom please.

I recently bought a comforter set with chocolate, tan and black in it. My walls are cream and I am reluctant to make the room much darker than it already is.

What accent colors can I add to the room?

There is a lot that would go with your comforter but it very much depends on the look you are going for.

Bright pink, red, orange and gold all spring to mind and a simple cream like the walls would also be lovely if you are aiming for a more traditional look.

It sounds like there is quite a bit going on in the pattern of the comforter set so I would suggest you think about keeping at least three of your walls cream and maybe adding a Feature Wall, Chimney Breast or Alcove in your accent colour and of course pillows, rugs and Window Treatments. Using cream and gold would be most suitable if this is a Master Bedroom and the brighter colours perhaps more suited to a guest bedroom or child’s room.

I think if it were me I would probably go for the bright pink and use gold for closet pulls, light fittings, door furniture etc. but really I think your have a lot of options open to you depending on who uses the room - a single lady, couple etc. and your own style preference - contemporary, traditional, retro...
